ABOUT CARLTON, OREGON

The city of Carlton was incorporated in 1899. Today, this Great Little Town has a population of slightly over 2000 residents and is recognized as one of Oregon’s most vibrant wine communities, even being called “The Wine Capital of Oregon and the most walkable wine community in Oregon.” Our Willamette Valley B&B is located in the heart of Willamette Valley’s Wine Country where there are over 40 wineries doing business within the city limits. Many of these wineries have tasting rooms open to the public and are within walking distance of The Carlton Inn Bed & Breakfast. We have lots of brochures and maps of the local area, and we invite you to explore some of the great vacation options available to you.

In addition to the many tasting rooms within walking distance, we also have some great cooking and craft classes. The Willamette Valley Cookspace has a variety of cooking classes. Check their website http://www.willamettevalleycookspace.com/events for a current schedule. The Carlton Bakery also have specialty cooking classes periodically - http://www.carltonbakery.com. If you love jewelry and craft items, then check out the Carlton ART Works at http://www.carltonartworks.com, Violet Rose Boutique and Farmhouse Romance http://www.farmhouseromance.com.

The Carlton Business Association (CBA) was formed in late 2007 and works in partnership with the city of Carlton to promote the town’s economic vitality while preserving its civic, cultural and historical well-being. Carlton has been accepted into the Oregon Main Street program as a “Transforming Downtown” city.
