Edward and Heidi Yates purchased The Carlton Inn in November 2006. The idea of owning a Bed and Breakfast had crossed our minds over the years, but never did we think the idea would come to fruition. Living in the Washington, D. C. metro area, Edward’s career was in Information Technology and Heidi was a sales rep for a wine distributor. When we left the D.C. area in January 2006 in a motorhome, we had no set destination in mind for where we would set down new roots. However, after arriving in Yamhill County in late September 2006, we knew this area was the right place for us. We happened upon The Carlton Inn and quickly realized this would be our new life.
